The project concept of a comfortable, modern and light space with elements of Loft Industrial style total area of 2290 sq.m. is the idea of a consistent style and thematic complex was put in place to accommodate employees of the Vodafone group: Vodafone Retail, Vodafone Ukraine, SmartFlex. These companies are developing new lines of business, including such dynamic and innovative industries as retail, Big Data, IT and IoT (Internet of things). They are engaged in R&D, working on high-tech products and solutions that have no analogues in Ukraine, and in some cases in the world. They are real heroes, superheroes. This is how the Vodafone Superhero League came about.

Vodafone Superhero League is a modern office complex that includes the placement of workplaces with the maximum use of open space without burdening with extra furniture and bulky partitions, mobile meeting rooms and recreation areas for reloading employees. This is a kitchen-studio with 55 seats and an open terrace overlooking the central part of the capital for work and leisure in the summer.

The objective of the project for the reconstruction of an office cylindrical 7-floored building in Kyiv, str. Staronavodnitska 4v. is creating of a consistent comfortable workspace for the Vodafone group of companies: Vodafone Retail, Vodafone Ukraine, SmartFlex employees accommodating.

The solution for such task was the concept of workplaces placement in an open workspace. Space saving and cheaper arrangement are one of the main advantages of the new office concept. Due to the location of all workers in the same room, on the same area, in comparison with several rooms, it is possible to accommodate more people.

Within the new office, the interaction between employees is simple and quick - because there is no need to make long movements for contact, but you can always contact the right employee in person and solve the issues as quickly as possible, which allows the whole company to work more efficiently.

Such placement of workplaces contributed to ensuring the corporate spirit, team cohesion, creating a creative and productive atmosphere in team. Since all employees are in the same room, this makes it easy to ensure the formation and maintenance of the company’s corporate spirit through the unification of tasks, the appearance of employees, arrangement of premises and other details.

Physical deterioration of the existing roof and some structural elements before construction work was unacceptable for further use of the building without changes. The roof could not withstand the snow load, leaked and did not comply with fire safety standards. Due to the above mentioned, on the 6th floor of an office building in Kyiv-city, str. Staronavodnitska 4c the roof dome construct was re-equipped with the strengthening of existing structures with vertical beams, which later became part of the partitions.

On the ground floor, the openings in the bearing walls of the inner radius were reinforced. Stained-glass windows were designed into the existing openings, which provided additional insolation to the interior of the floor. The project also provided for the dismantling of the existing headland and steps leading from the corridor to the workspace and, as a result, the organization of a separate workspace and office at different levels.

To unite the area intended for employees’ rest and reloading with a kitchen - a studio on the 1st floor, a staircase was designed with a partial dismantling of the overlap between the floors and a metal frame of the fence under the ceiling with uneven, torn edges. The fencing frame is assembled according to an individual project using welding and is a consistent design.
